Prop Photo's
One of the main props for our trailer will be a ransom note. This note will play a key part in shifting the mood of our trailer from bright and happy to scared and venerable. The type of note we would like to use is your common magazine clippings made into words just like the picture below. We believe that these notes are a great way of keeping a persons idenity hidden aswell as building tension.

Audience research
These are some of the stereotypical films associated with the genre of our trailer along with which type of audience watched them. As we are basing our film trailer on a film of this genre we decided it was best to look at the audiences of films that are the same genre and make a decision at which audience we would aim it towards.
As you can see by looking at these audience profiles the majority of people who watch these films are between the age of 15-34 and generally male but they have a large female audience also. So after analysing these audience profiles we have noticed that if we were to aim our film at the same audience we would have to include certain elements from some of these films but not copy them exactly just add our own little twist to them. When doing our trailer we will keep to the common conventions of a action film making sure the audience is always watching whilst being on edge.

Soundtrack research
One way in which we may include music into our trailer is by creating it on the music software cubase. We have recently had a lesson were we tried out this software and created mini pieces on the keyboards. The software is very interesting but hard to use if we were to use this for music in our trailer we would enlist in help from a friend of ours who does a level music. Other ways in which we may include music into our trailer is through non copyrighted music websites.
Costume Research
For our main male character we will go for a smart look as he will be working in an office. We would go for common suit with a tie, blazer and accessories such as a briefcase and a watch. The picture below shows an example of an outfit we may use, the character is a little older than the character we would use.
The other main character in our trailer will be the killer/bad guy. We want this character to be mysterious and his identity hidden throughout, to do this we will have this character wear street clothes and a hood throughout so his face is always hidden.

Location Research
We are hoping to include many different location in our trailer. These will include a desk in an office block, an area where hostages are being kept e.i. a warehouse/house, some street scenes and some shots of characters in cars. The desk in the office we would like it to be set out as it would be on be on an average work day but we would also like it to be isolated away from everyone else and we would use one of our main props, the envelope, to attract the audiences attention.
The area where the hostages will be held will be dark and slightly lit with desk lamps or ceiling lights. Using these techniques we aim to build a sense of fear so the audience will be un easy about the future of the hostages.
