Evaluation Activity 1: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

The first picture shows the title of the film which is Eye to Eye, we reversed the second Eye to symbolise the alter ego of our main character. The font which is used has a slight crumbling effect to it symbolising the action genre along with the white on black background.

The second picture shows one of the settings of our film which is out in open area. This picture has a dark tint to it this helps raise questions and mystery which surrounds our main character and his alter ego.

The third picture shows one of the main costumes of our trailer. This costume is a stereotypical office worker consisting of a relaxed shirt with the top button undone and sleeves rolled up accompanied with a set of trousers. The audience will recognise this normal office job through the representation of the costume and the mise en scene of the shot with the white walls.

The fourth picture shows when our office worker changes into his alter ego after splashing his face with water onto his face. We show this with a change of costume and facial expression. This shot creates tension and raises many questions for the audiences making them want to know more about this character.

The fifth picture shows some of our intertitles in our trailer. we decided to use a different font for our intertitles but keep the crumbling effect as it follows our genre and narrative of our film. it hints at the narrative by using colours which stand out and contrast.

The sixth picture shows of our character discovering a ransom note which informs him of his family kidnapping. The next shot shows him running to the toilet, this shows his realisation of the current situation as he is coming to terms with it. Another way this i shown is through his body language throughout the scene.

The seventh picture shows the car chase scene where the main character first discovers he is being followed by another car. This shot shows the genre as its fast paced with quick cutting shots from the speedometer to the gear changes. the shot ends as our main character escapes the pursuing car as it disappears out of shot.

The eighth picture shows our main character as he alter ego for the first time in the trailer as he is walking through a field. This shot is slightly darker than most of the others this allows us to present questions to the audience leaving them intrigued to find out the real background of our main character.

The last picture shows our only special effect in our trailer which is a standard shot of our masked man in a blacked out room with a static layer over the top to create tension and unease the audience. This shot also allows us to input horror elements into our trailer creating a slight hybrid genre as horror films normally use quick shots of dark figures that are blurry.
